How to Cook and Store Your Prime Beef Ribeye Smoked Roast
Cooking times
This is a fully seasoned uncooked/raw product.
- Rare (57°C – 60°C) 15 – 18 minutes per pound
- Medium (62°C – 65°C) – 20 minutes per pound
- Well Done (70°C – 76°C) – 25 minutes per pound
Cooking instructions
- Drizzle a little olive oil over the roast and liberally season it with salt and pepper
- Sear in a skillet until the sides are all browned
- Place the whole ribeye entrecote on a wire rack on top of a baking sheet or a shallow roasting pan with the fat side up
- Bake at 176 degrees C for approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes (this will give you a medium roast beef)
- Use a thermometer to check the temperature of the beef
- When you remove the roast from the oven be sure to let the roast rest for 20 – 30 minutes before slicing and serving.
Shelf life
When goods are received, frozen items will be safe to return to the freezer straight away. During extended or delayed deliveries please check that these Gourmet roasts arrive with you at a safe temperature. Because these products are uncooked, if they defrost to fridge temperatures (2-8 degrees) during delivery, then please store in the fridge immediately upon receipt and consume on the same day. Please let us know if you have any issues with the temperature as soon as you can after delivery, and we will fix it for you with our “no quibble guarantee”.

This roast is uncooked – defrost safely in the fridge before cooking, then just heat and serve.
