Radler German Shandy

Fruity lemonade combined with a mild beer taste. 100% natural, without colourings or preservatives. A refreshing, light and healthy beer speciality.

Unfiltered German Beers

As with all unfiltered German beer, you are likely to find a little sediment at the bottom of your bottle. This is much the same as you might find in a pint of British Real Ale, and is nothing to be concerned about – it’s how you know that your beer or radler is unfiltered. If you like you can give your drink a shake to mix the sediment back in, but be careful when you open it if you do!

What’s in Your Radler?

Mixed beer drink, 50% beer and 50% lemonade.

Alcohol: 2.7 %  Vol.

I’m not a massive fan normally of lemon in beer. I guess it’s because all you get in the UK is a horrible lemonade shandy or lemonade top. However, whenever we’re in Berlin my wife swears by Radler, so I took a punt and ordered a mixed crate with some Radler Hell bottles in it. And to be honest if I’d noticed the low alcohol % prior to ordering I probably wouldn’t have ! BUT….and this is a big Kardashian-size but……….this stuff is delicious. It has a lemon taste (as opposed to a lemonade taste), but it doesn’t overpower the taste of the beer. Ice cold on a hot day this stuff makes a perfect light drink. So drinkable in fact that I’ve ordered a load more.
