How to Cook and Store Our Bison XXL Steak Burger

Cooking times

6 to 8 minutes when defrosted. 20 minutes from frozen.

Cooking instructions

BBQ/Grill: The easiest way to cook the burger is on any BBQ. Just place them on top of the grill and cook them for about 3 to 4 minutes each side and carefully flip them over (checking in between). Once both sides are browned, take them off the BBQ and let them rest under a cover for about 1-2 minutes for the meat juices to settle.

Oven Cook: Preheat the oven (140 °C), place the frozen burgers on a tray and heat for around 20 minutes. For thawed burgers reduce to 15 minutes.

Pan Fry: Heat the defrosted product with a little oil at medium heat for around 3-4 minutes each side.

Shelf life

When goods are received, please store in freezer immediately and defrost the items before using. Once defrosted, keep the items chilled, if unopened use with 14 days. Once opened, use the products within a few days.

Safety

The burgers are not precooked, so will need to be heated through fully before serving. Though you are able to cook from frozen, we would always recommend defrosting uncooked products fully before cooking. For best results, thaw gradually in the fridge for 24 hours before cooking.
