These are delicious. They are slightly spicy and taste great when braised in a well known brand of beef consomme.

This is the first time I have found Maultaschen in the UK that actually taste just like the ones I have when I stay with my German friends who make home made ones in the family butchers!! I am so happy I am now have them at home in the UK!

My family thoroughly enjoyed the Maultaschen. Served in a vegetable broth, sweetened with a splash of cider, and accompanied with fresh crusty bread and butter. Enjoy with red wine or a stein of your favourite tipple and you can’t go wrong. Delicious.

These Maultaschen look like industrial made ones, but they definitely taste like home-made. Very good full flavour and easy to cook

    1. method: Heat them in a good broth. Traditionally in Germany it’s a beef broth and I especially love a good oxtail-broth. Top them with the sausageman crispy onions, which get very soft in the broth and release their great flavour and top it with chives

    2. method: Cut them in stripes and heat in a pan with a good amout of butter. Let them get a nice brown colour and top them with a mixture of beaten eggs with some grated cheese (I prefer Parmesan). Do it like scrambled eggs but don’t overcook the eggs, you want them still shiny. Just great!
