Buttery, flaky croissants paired with a juicy sausage create the perfect balance of crispy and soft. Slice a fresh croissant open, add a grilled Frankfurter, and load it up with melted cheese, caramalised onions and Black Forest Ham.

- 1 Croissant
- 1 Cheese Frankfurter
- 1 Slice of Black Forest Ham
- 1 Onion
- 1 Sauce of your choice
Instructions
- Pan fry the Cheese Frankfurter for 6-8 minutes until heated through
- On the same pan, add little oil and cook onions over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until soft, golden and caramelised, set aside
- Place a slice of Black Forest Ham in the air fryer and cook until crisp. Once cooled slightly, break or chop into shards to use as crispy toppings
- Slice the croissant lenghtways, keeping the hinge intact. Lightly toast cut side down for 1-2 minutes (optional but recommended for added structure)
- Layer the fillings. Lay the Black Forest Ham directly onto the bottom half of the . Place the Cheese Frankfurter on top. Spoon over the caramalised onions. Finish with a generous sprinkle of mozzarella
- Air fry until cheese is melted and the croissant is lightly golden or place on a baking tray and bake for 6-8 minutes until the Cheese is melted and the croissant is golden but still soft
- Top with Crispy Black Forest Ham shards then finish by drizzling with any sauce of your choice before serving
