Description

We’re sorry to announce that the iconic Volkswagen Currywurst is no longer available, as Volkswagen has discontinued shipments of this product to the UK. But there’s great news! Introducing the Volks Giant Currywurst – our upgraded 28cm version, inspired by the original and crafted to meet your craving for authentic German currywurst.

Introducing the world’s most iconic sausage – the indescribably tasty Volkswagen Currywurst XXL 25cm from The Sausage Man. A Volkswagen Original Part, 199 398 500 A, this is one of the tastiest sausages we stock!

What is a Currywurst?

To be clear – there is no curry in this currywurst – it’s not a curry flavoured sausage. Though such things do exist in Germany, more commonly in recent times, the traditional way of making currywurst is using a smoked Frankfurter, Bockwurst or Bratwurst (depending on where you’re from), covering in ketchup or curry ketchup and sprinkling with curry powder. The VW Currywurst is made specifically for this purpose, and makes a perfect sausage for this schnellimbiss dish!

Genuine VW Part

If you thought that Volkswagen only sold cars, you’re about to discover something amazing! For over 45 years VW has also been producing some of the finest German currywurst. In fact, their currywurst is so popular that VW now sells more sausages than cars – and for good reason too!

Premium Ingredients

This meaty sausage is incomparably good. With high-quality ingredients, premium meat (containing just 20% fat) and a top-secret spice mixture. Volkswagen’s take on the classic currywurst has incredible flavour. This sausage is so famous that it even featured on an episode of Richard Hammond’s BIG! That’s right – the VW Currywurst is not to be missed!

Ready to taste this authentic German currywurst for yourself? Order yours from The Sausage Man now. Don’t forget to let us know what you think!

P.S. This product does not come with the sauce but for our top tips on how to season and serve the VW Volkswagen Currywurst XXL 25cm, check out our YouTube video here! We do recommend the amazing VW Ketchup! Don’t forget to like and share. Remember that most German’s will make Currywurst with just three simple steps:

  • 1. Cook and slice sausage
  • 2. Cover with Ketchup or Curry Ketchup
  • 3. Add a sprinkle of Curry Powder and serve!
