This German Pork shoulder steak (Schweinenacken-Steak) is a tender cut, cooked slowly to make it extremely tender and juicy and it is fully seasoned. They pair perfectly with a helping of Sauerkraut and an Essiggurken (Gherkin). They also go down well with a stein of Engel Gold Beer, for that real Oktoberfest feel.

The Schweinenackensteak (pork shoulder steak) is made from the neck of the pig. Since the neck carries the head of the pig, it is especially strong. Neck steaks stand out in how juicy and tender and flavourful they are. The large part in muscular fat makes for good taste and keeps meat tender while it is roasted or grilled. This is why you get tasty steaks from the pork neck both for grilling and pan frying.

Our tasty German Pork shoulder steaks arrive precooked from The Sausage Man, so they just need to be reheated for a few minutes ready to serve. For best taste this is done on a charcoal BBQ, but a pan will do with a little fat in it.. We like our pork shoulder steaks on a bed of traditional Sauerkraut (German Fermented Cabbage), and a side of creamy mashed potatoes or Bratkartoffeln – German Fried Potatos.

Cooking instructions & storage
3-5 minutes from chilled.
It’s a fully seasoned and pre – cooked product. For best result: Just add veg/cooking oil to a frying pan, heat up and place the pork steaks inside, brown off on both sides for about 3 to 5 min on medium heat or put them on a grill.
When goods are received, please store in freezer immediately and defrost the items before using. Once defrosted, keep the items chilled, if unopened use with 14 days. Once opened, use the products within a few days.
The sausage is 100% pre-cooked, just heat and serve or even eat cold. Risk free.
