Mild and sweet in flavour, this pairs nicely with all sorts of meats from sausages to burgers and schnitzels.

I prefer this pickled red cabbage to Sauerkraut which I find too sharp and the apple adds a lovely fruity sweetness. This is delicious with all German sausages and also goes well with roast gammon and dauphinoise potatoes.

This and the Sauerkraut mixed together surrounding the pork knuckle with the big potato balls- awesome!
