Description
German and Italian cuisine have relatively little in common. Made using a mixture of egg, wheat, water, salt, oil and citric acid, Spätzle pasta has a tradition that stretches back to at least the 18th century in South Germany. So pleased to have found this website, have been missing spätzle for many years and couldn’t be bothered with the faff of making it at home, so looking forward to my next dinner with the vegan schnitzels which are also amazing with parsley lemon butter.

We first found kasespätzle as the only veggie option in a restaurant in Berlin. Nothing else, so fairly grudgingly went for it. Wow… This is a proper grown up spätzle, firm tight to the bite, great flavour and holds its shape, takes me right back. It looks expensive, but a pack makes four meals with the cheese and onions so actually is very reasonable. Going to re-order very soon!
