2021 In Review

2021 started off with another COVID-19 lockdown still upon us. Now 12 months and around 10 million sausages later, we thought it was time to have a look back at the year just gone as we gear up for 2022!

Sausage For Every Occasion

From seasonal events to year-round traders – with street food, barbeques, and sit-down dinners – 2021 showed that there’s a sausage for all occasions. To find out more, we toured the country to see how our commercial customers are serving up our sausage with sizzle and flair! You don’t have to take our word for it though, because we got every moment on camera!

Festivals

Our products are the perfect festival food, though the 2021 festival season wasn’t able to kick-off completely. We were able to sponsor the Festival of the Artisan though, which was streamed online and featured some fantastic musical talent. One of the lucky few outdoor festivals that was able to go ahead was the Valhalla Viking Festival, and those Vikings really know how to throw a party! Our half metre Brats made a glorious guest appearance at The Smoke and Fire Festival too, where we held the first ever Sausage Man Speed Eating Challenge! Festivalgoers also got the chance to sample some bitesize Sausage Man products, before going on to buy from our Showmen customers nearby!

Cooking With Style

2021 also saw the launch of three delicious cooking series. Chef Philli and Chef Bjoern showed us just how versatile our products can be. From breakfast sausage through to lunch and dinner. No matter the what the occasion or meal, we have you covered. If you’re looking for a little inspiration then check out these tasty recipes now. They’re sure make your mouth water and will have you wanting more!

German Events

When you think of a German event, Oktoberfest is likely to be the first that springs to mind. Here at The Sausage Man we love that time of year. London Oktoberfest 2021 was fantastic – replete with lederhosen, sausages, pretzels, beer and more. Showing The Sausage Man products in all their glory. We were also pleased to be invited to the 40th Birthday of Peter Cooper Volkswagen in Hampshire. German cars and German sausages, a winning combination! Darts might be known more as an essentially British past time, but when the 2021 PDC World Darts Championship took to our screens our sausages were there too!

Christmas Time

Christmas and German sausages are the perfect pairing. During the 2021 festive period we visited many Christmas spectaculars all over the UK. From Garden Centres (like Meadow Croft in Essex) to historic Christmas Markets in towns/cities like Bristol, Kingston Upon Thames & Manchester. Everyone was in the Christmas spirit and the traditional Schwenker grills always helped set the scene, with some amazing Oompah music helping too!
